The Best Commercial Juicers in the North American Market

Juicers are very necessary appliances for any modern kitchen. With an extensive array of juicer models available from leading manufacturers, kitchen managers can get the best they can have by unique requirements. The cooking space of an apartment is bound to be much different from that of a Gourmet restaurant. However, both can use a commercial juicer just as they need. A restaurant manager would definitely look up the inventory of high performance juicers that can deliver constant service without blocking up. On the other hand, a family only uses the appliance occasionally, typically at major meals such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Find a good product

An evaluation of the inventory reveals that the juice container volume does not alter by much in both high performance and low performance segments. This is due to ergonomic reasons as a huge and heavy container is inconvenient to handle separately. However, the designs vary considerably and customers can enjoy several aesthetic options. Decide whether you need commercial juicers with metal bodies or plastic containers.
Look up additional features such as maintenance ease, manufacturer guarantee, electric input, and safety features. Prefer to shop from a retail service offering products from all leading international brands. E-commerce sites allow extensive search features such as by budget, brand, or liters. Take your time to find the best design for your kitchen.

Check safety

Checking up the safety features deserves special mention because it is after all an appliance with rapidly moving sharp blades. A design flaw can cost a finger at its worst circumstances. Confirm electrical safety features also because juices are essentially water based edibles, and thereby good conductors of electricity.

A leak into the plug point can lead to a terrible short circuit shock when you are suppressing the lid with your palm as a usual habit with these machines. The pressure helps to steady a vibrating machine, but your priority should be to find a design that absorbs the vibration well. Check out actual user reviews on the web. Compare the specs side by side besides the budget. Look up the options they offer. Can you juice an entire watermelon in three minutes? Does it have a filtering mechanism for the seeds and the fibers? Depend on facts to take an informed decision.

Know The Basics of Smoothies and Juicing

For many of those that may be new to juicing, understanding the differences between types of juicers may be one of the most challenging parts of getting started. In honor of the Best You Giveaway in which we will be giving out two books focusing on Smoothies and Fresh Juices from Super food Juices: 100 Delicious, Energizing & Nutrient-Dense Recipes, and Super food Smoothies: 100 Delicious, Energizing & Nutrient-dense Recipes by Julie Morris. With the help of the words of Julie Morris and our expertise in juicing we will be providing you simple and easy to understand explanations into the word of juicing.
Smoothies
When fruit and vegetables are chopped, and pressed by turning blades at high speeds to make juice with fiber.  This a popular option is chosen by many home users. Blending requires the least amount of time, cleaning, and in most cases, is the most affordable.
The Good:
The fiber in smoothies helps slow down the release of sugar into the body. This can cause your body to stay feeling good for longer due to the slow release of sugar.
It only takes a few minutes to make.
Can be replaced meals.
Requires minimal cleaning.
More variety with ingredients than fresh juice like adding yogurt, milk, and nuts to smoothies.
Fresh Juice
The biggest difference juicing and using a blender is the separation of pulp (fiber). Drinking juice with no pulp helps the body absorb nutrients better. Drinking fresh juice results in the body absorbing all the nutrients in the juice.
The Good:
The body can absorb more nutrients from fruits and vegetables immediately.
Immediate rush of energy.
Minimal digestion needed. Benefiting those with digestive disorders or sensitive stomach.
One of the easiest ways to add veggies to your diet.
Less Filling.
Types of Juicers Used to Make Fresh Juice:
Cold pressed- This refers to juice that is created with a slow grind juicer. It is believed to ensure the maximum number of nutrients and enzymes due to its process and has a longer shelf life but does require more labor.
Masticating Juicer- (Slow Juicer) This type of juicer uses slow grinding at a single gear to juice. Masticating juicers are best known for their advantage juicing greens, juicing harder fruits and vegetables may prove to be more of a challenge.
Triturating Juicers- (Twin Gear) This type of juicer uses a slow grind and a twin gear to juice. Triturating juicers are known to be more versatile in that they can be used for more than just juicing but can also make baby food and nut butters. Like the masticating juicer, this juicer requires more work for juicing harder fruits since it requires that the hard vegetables be cut before juicing. Users must also apply more force when feeding the fruits and vegetables.
Norwalk Juicer – (Hydraulic Press) This type of juicer shreds the produce similar to a food processor to cut up the produce. It then uses a hydraulic press to extract the juice that is created during the first step. This juicer requires the user to move the bags after the pressing process to the hydraulic press and is limited to one bag at a time even while the shredding side is not being used. The juicer also requires the user to wash the reusable bags after every use. This juicer comes in at the highest price out of the juicers listed at $2,000.  This is also only available as a home model and is not NSF certified for commercial use.  The go to cold press commercial juicer right now is the Good Nature brand and is a large back of house model that is usually used for bottling the cold pressed juice.
Centrifugal- This is the most common type of juicer that works by inserting the fruits and vegetables through a chute and then the grating disc shreds the produce into a pulp that is then turned into juice by the centrifugal spinning of the basket. It is great for those that are looking to spend minimal time juicing. This juicer works best when juicing hard fruits and vegetables like carrots and apples.  This juicer is quick, most models have the auto-ejection for the pulp which allows for continuous juicing until the pulp bin is full.  If the model you choose has a large chute you also do not have to cut up the produce which also speeds up the process.

Salavatore Calabrese created a stylish guide to virgin cocktails.  In his book, “Virgin Cocktails” by Salvatore Calabrese he gives a great introduction to the art of creating the ultimate virgin cocktail.  According to Calabrese, “The ultimate virgin cocktail is one untouched by alcohol and the human hand.  A cocktail shaken to perfection, and balanced in all flavors.  The cocktails texture is smooth on the tonuge and it’s aroma piquant;  its color reflects the innocent purity of the ingredients.  In practical terms what makes a virgin cocktail?  Fresh fruits, ice (cubed or crushed) just-pressed juices, and an excellent recipe.  The garnish and glass are important too.”
Tips:  “Ice must be fresh and dry”
Apple-Beet Beauty
2 oz apple juice
2 oz fresh beet juice
Shake the juices with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
Carrot and Cranberry Cocktail
4 oz carrot juice
2 oz cranberry juice
2 teaspoons clear honey
Shake all ingredients with ice to let ingredients combine well.  Strain into highball filled with ice.
Virgin Mojito
1 teaspoon superfine (caster) sugar
2/3 oz fresh lime juice
bunch of fresh mint on the stem
Put the sugar and lime juice in the bottom of a highball with a thick base.  Add the mint leaves and muddle with the end of a bar spoon or a wooden muddler.  This releases the essence from the mint.  Fill the glass with crushed ice.  Top up with sparkling water.  Stir.
